Jazz South Online Session with PRS Foundation

Jazz South invited jazz musicians, promoters, producers and organisations across the UK for an online presentation and Q&A with Westley Holdsworth, Grants Coordinator at PRS Foundation.

PRS Foundation is the UK’s leading charitable funder of new music and talent development. In this session Westley shared information about the funding opportunities for individual creatives and organisations and answered questions.


Jazz South online session with Help Musicians

Jazz South invited jazz musicians across the UK for an online session with Barnaby Duff, Creative Programme Officer at Help Musicians.

Barnaby answered questions and shared details about how the charity supports music creators to achieve their creative potential, develop their skills, and build their careers, including funding opportunities and support services for artists in crisis.

Help Musicians is an independent charity, with an extraordinary history. For 100 years, it has provided a broad spectrum of help, support and opportunities to empower professional musicians, at all stages of their lives and careers.

Arts Council England Q & A – National Lottery Project Grants

An online Q&A with members of Arts Council England’s Music Team about National Lottery Project Grants: for jazz and improvised music creators, promoters and venues in the South.

Jazz South invited the South East and South West’s jazz and improvised music community to a special advice giving session. In this session we were joined by two members of Arts Council England’s music team: Davina Christmas and Moragh Brooksbank. In this session they:

  • Discuss the new guidance for applicants
  • Highlight the changes to the programme and what they mean for potential applications
  • Talk through some useful tips and things to remember to create strong applications
  • Answer questions
