The Ivors Academy (previously British Association of Songwriters, Composers and Authors – BASCA)
Exists to support, protect and celebrate music creators in the UK as an independent professional association representing songwriters and composers in all genres. Offers a membership service, including legal support, insurance, networking and training events. Ivor Novello Awards are highly regarded industry accolades: The Ivors celebrates songwriters and screen composers; The Ivors Composer Awards celebrates music creators in classical, jazz and sonic art fields.

ROYALTIES & LICENSING
PPL licenses recorded music played in public or broadcast and then distributes the licence fees to its performer and rights holder members
Collecting and distributing the royalties generated from the performance and use of music of over 95,000 members
OTHER ADVOCACY
Improving deaf and disabled peoples’ access to live music by offering support to organisations through training, online resources and a Charter of Best Practice.
Led by PRS Foundation, Keychange is a pioneering international industry collaboration which aims to accelerate change and create a better more inclusive music industry for present and future generations. Keychange is encouraging music festivals and conferences to sign up to a 50:50 gender balance pledge by 2022.
