Concert Hall Manager of Turner Sims Southampton and Strategic Lead for Jazz South

Kevin programmes national and international jazz artists as part of of the annual mixed concert series at Turner Sims. This includes producing annual commissions and collaborations between high profile artists and Southampton Youth Jazz Orchestra. He brings wide-ranging strategic understanding of the music industry as Chair of the British Association of Concert Halls, Vice-Chair of Orchestras Live and previous Chair of Southampton Music Education Hub. Kevin represents Turner Sims and Jazz South as a member of the European Jazz Network and Jazz Promotion Network in the UK.

Tamsin Mendelsohn

Jazz South Manager

Tamsin has a background as a music leader and professional music therapist, developing projects for Drake Music Scotland and War Child. Specialising in jazz, improvised and contemporary classical music, Tamsin has worked extensively for Creative Scotland and Arts Council England, offering funding and strategic support to artists, arts organisations and music education hubs. She initiated the advocacy organisation now relaunched as Jazz From Scotland and commissioned Serious to deliver Air Time, a talent development programme for creative jazz musicians living in Scotland.

Ashley Sealy

Jazz South Intern

A first year music student at University of Southampton, Ashley spans jazz and classical performance on clarinets and saxophones. As a photographer and fine-artist on the side, Ashley brings great business ideas to Jazz South, and will be building the social media strategy with Polly Marquis.

Polly Marquis

Excited to help with the planning and development of Jazz South in the region, Polly is a student at the University of Southampton and greatly enjoys frequenting Turner Sims for local jazz gigs. This is a love she wishes to share with fellow students and others from the south region, encouraging participation in and a love of the jazz sector. Polly brings experience of managing Surge Radio, the student station based in Southampton and will work with Ashley Sealy to build the social media strategy for Jazz South.
